About Pressure BioSciences, Inc.

Pressure BioSciences, Inc. is a leader in the development and sale of innovative, broadly-enabling pressure-based solutions for the global life sciences and other industries.

Pressure BioSciences products are based on the unique properties of constant hydrostatic (i.e. static) and alternating (i.e. pressure cycling technology or PCT) pressure. PCT is a patented enabling technology platform that uses alternating cycles of hydrostatic pressure between ambient and ultra-high levels to control biomolecular interactions in a safe and reproducible manner (eg, cell lysis, biomolecule extraction).

Pressure BioSciences is primarily focused on PCT-based product development for biomarker and target discovery, drug design and development, biotherapeutic characterization and quality control, soil and plant biology, forensics and anti-bioterrorism applications.

Additionally, major new market opportunities have emerged in the use of the Company’s pressure-based technologies in the following areas:

(1) the use of the Company’s patented BaroFold technology to enable entry into the biopharmaceutical contract services industry, and (2) the use of the newly patented, scalable, high-efficiency, Ultra Shear technology based on Company’s (“UST”) push to create stable nanoemulsions of otherwise immiscible fluids (e.g., oils and water) and to prepare better quality, homogenized, shelf-life low-acid liquid foods extended or room temperature stable storage that cannot be stored effectively using existing non-thermal technologies.
