Cybersecurity and application delivery solutions provider Radware has introduced what it says is the industry’s first terabit DDoS mitigation platform, DefensePro 800.
The latest evolution of Radware’s DefensePro series of products, the DefensePro 800 provides Tier 1 service providers and large enterprises with the highest levels of protection and performance needed to meet the new network demands of 5G, edge computing and network virtualization, as well as the significant increase in bandwidth demand, says Radware.
According to the company, using industry-first 400G interfaces, the DDoS mitigation platform delivers an attack prevention rate of up to 1.2 billion packets per second (PPS) and mitigation capability of up to at 800 gigabits per second (Gbps).
With its patented, behavior-based, and automated algorithms, it can overcome sophisticated multi-vector attacks at any scale. This includes automated DDoS protection against burst, DNS, and TLS/SSL attacks, as well as DDoS ransomware campaigns, IoT botnets, phantom floods, and other types of cyber threats.
“Tier 1 service providers and large enterprises are transforming their networks and IT infrastructures to improve performance, scalability and new customer experiences,” said Amir Peles, vice president of technology at Radware.
“Supporting new technologies, while overcoming the significant increase in the intensity of DDoS attacks, requires an advanced cleaning platform,” he said.
“Our new DDoS mitigation platform is a game-changer,” says Peles.
“It combines industry-leading protection and performance designed to handle ultra-high bandwidth demands and deliver next-generation connectivity for emerging environments,” he said.
“DefensePro 800 incorporates Radware’s next-generation hardware mitigation engine and exceptionally high port density, delivering unparalleled DDoS protection through improved performance, flexibility, and efficiency.”
Radware has been recognized as a Global Leader in Forrester’s The Forrester Wave: DDoS Mitigation Solutions, Q1 2021 report.
Radware specializes in cybersecurity and application delivery solutions for physical, cloud and software-defined data centers. Its award-winning portfolio of solutions secures the digital experience by providing enterprise IT infrastructure, applications and protection, and availability services to enterprises worldwide.
“Radware’s solutions enable businesses and operators around the world to quickly adapt to market challenges, maintain business continuity, and achieve maximum productivity while reducing costs,” the company says.
Earlier this year, the company announced the acquisition of the business of SecurityDAM, which is its DDoS cleanup center provider.
The company announced the new decision as part of its strategic initiative to accelerate the growth and expansion of its cloud security services business.
As part of their initiative, Radware also announced plans to expand its Innovation Center in India and further expand the footprint and capacity of its cloud network as well as its entire cloud services division, including including its technology, operations and workforce.
SecurityDAM is a related party and cloud DDoS network operator that has provided Radware with cleanup center services used in the provision of Radware’s Cloud DDoS protection service. Their technology is designed to help ease the pressure on data management and improve frictionless security.
