Weekly gadgets: Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip and more

Tech companies like Oppo, Asus, and Netgear launched a new lineup of smartphones, laptops, and more this week (January 24-30).

DH’s weekly Gadgets edition lists the latest top personal tech products to keep you up to date with everything happening in the world of consumer electronics.

Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip OLED range

It comes with a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) OLED display and offers 400 nits peak brightness, anti-glare screen, touch input (finger and stylus), and a 16:9 aspect ratio. The device is available in two options: Windows 10 Pro and Home. Additionally, the company offers two configurations: 2.4GHz Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor (8MB cache, up to 4.2GHz, 4 cores) and 2.8GHz Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor (12MB cache, up to 4.7 GHz, 4 cores) with up to 48 GB DDR4 RAM, up to 2 TB SSD storage and 4-cell 66 Wh polymer battery.

As for connectivity, it comes with two Thunderbolt 4 Type-C (supports PD3.0 and DP (4K UHD)), USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.0b, headphone combo, a micro HDMI (for LAN only) and a Kensington lock slot

Other notable features include a 1MP HD (720p) camera with shield, full-size backlit keyboard with spill guard (66cc) and 1.5mm key travel, touchpad, ASUS numeric keypad 2.0, an MPP2.0 stylus, Intel Wireless on board Dual -band 2×2 Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) + Bluetooth 5, fingerprint (combined power button), AI noise cancellation technology, two multi-array microphones with Cortana voice recognition and two “stereo” speakers. Pricing starts at Rs 1,39,000 in India.

Netgear Nighthawk AX1800 and AX6000 Wi-Fi Extender Series

The new AX1800 4-Stream Mesh Extender (EAX20) supports the latest generation of WiFi 6 with speeds of up to 1.8 Gbps. With 4-stream WiFi, users get more bandwidth and less congestion for all devices on the WiFi network. On the other hand, the Nighthawk AX6000 8-Stream Mesh Extender (EAX80) promises to deliver blazing-fast speeds of up to 6 Gbps for smooth Ultra-HD 4K/8K streaming, lag-free online gaming, and gaming. uninterrupted video calls. EAX80 is ideal for large homes with up to 6 bedrooms; that helps you enjoy the fastest broadband speeds available and the speeds you pay for. The extender comes with four high-power antennas concealed inside, optimally positioned to deliver ultra-reliable long-distance WiFi coverage indoors and outdoors. Oppo Reno7 Series

It features a 6.43-inch AMOLED Full HD+ (2400×1080p) screen. It supports a display refresh rate of 90 Hz, a maximum touch sampling rate of 180 Hz, a maximum brightness of 800 nits and the screen is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 shield. an integrated fingerprint sensor, a dual SIM slot and a dedicated space for a microSD card.

Under the hood, it features a 6nm-class MediaTek Dimensity 900 processor with Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, 8GB LPDDR4x RAM, 256GB (UFS 3.1) storage (expandable), ColorOS 12 based on Android 11, triple camera – 64MP (with f/1.7) + 8MP ultra-wide camera (f/2.25) + 2MP (f/2.4) macro camera with LED flash on the back, a 32MP (f/2.4) on the front and a 4,500 mAh battery with 65W charger. It comes in two colors startrails blue and starlight black – for Rs 28,999 (8GB RAM + 256GB storage).

The company also launched the Reno7 Pro series. It comes with a better processor and better camera hardware.
